A
native of Philadelphia, Buddy Fitzpatrick is currently a New York City
club favorite sharing his comedy perspective. His act combines the skill
of a great monologist with a physical style that brings his observations
to life. At the age of 18, he left Philadelphia to pursue a career in
the arts. He enrolled in the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New
York City and has never looked back. He went on tour with several
theater companies starring in plays ranging from Shakespeare to Neil
Simon. His comedy timing was always a bright spot in any production and
with a little prodding he took the next step to the comedy club stage.

to his work fueled his desire and has kept him been busy on the comedy
circuit for the last twelve years. His act is made up of inventive

Alonzo Bodden

Alonzo Bodden has proven himself to be more than just a
stand-up comic. As host of the new Speed Channel show, “101 Cars You
Must Drive,” Bodden clearly demonstrates that his comedy is useful when
taking on hosting duties. This is not Bodden’s first time on national
TV. After placing as
runner-up on Season 2 of NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” he came back
strong in Season 3 to take the grand prize.
Even before appearing on “Last Comic Standing,” Bodden knew there
was nothing, absolutely nothing that would ever make him give up comedy.
“That’s the drug,” he says, “when they laugh it’s like I’m a jazz
musician and they hear it, and they get it. It’s power to take the crowd
wherever I want them to go. I love it when they laugh, especially when
they relate through laughter. It’s a beautiful thing. It also means I’m
going to get paid, which is nice.” Along with Lewis Black, Doug Stanhope
and Sarah Silverman, Playboy Magazine called Bodden “a spawn of Carlin,”
referring to the late George Carlin.Bodden didn’t always make his living
as a stand up comic. A graduate of
Aviation
High School, for twelve
years he earned a paycheck as a jet mechanic for Lockheed and McDonnell
Douglas. While comics around the country were making audiences laugh at
airline jokes, he was working on the top secret Stealth Bomber.
It was during a stint as trainer that Bodden discovered his
ability to entertain a group of people. “I was teaching airplane
mechanics when I realized it was more fun to make them laugh,” he
explains, “I was laid off one more time and I never looked back,
although it was nice to have a steady paycheck and benefits.”
Bodden enrolled in a comedy class and the rest as they say, is
comedy history. In 1997, he appeared at the Montreal Comedy Festval –
Just For Laughs in their coveted New Faces Showcase. With that
performance, Bodden was given a deal to develop a sitcom with the
Greeblatt-Janoralli Studios. After being on “Last Comic Standing” Season
2 and 3, in 2007, Bodden went on to become a series regular judge on
Season 5 of the show.
His movie roles include parts in Scary Movie 4, Bringing Down
the House and The Girl Next Door.
On television, he has played a bouncer/crook/security guard/cop
on “Angel,” “Grounded for Life” and “Profiler.”
He starred in his own “Comedy Central Presents” special in 2005.
He is currently a regular field correspondent on “The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno.”Bodden describes his material as “cynically good natured in an
angry suburban Negro kind of way.” While he strongly believes that all
young comics should study Bill Cosby, he freely admits that his mom is
the funniest person he knows. When his family and friends attend his
shows he loves and appreciates it. One of the great things about
Bodden’s career is that he can make you laugh and fix your Learjet.
One day, he hopes to have his own Learjet.
